if not for you

if not for your arms that’s holding me tightly

i would have now fallen apart

if not for your kisses

my tears would now be flooding my heart

if not for your presence

i would be miserably alone

if not for your light and inspiration

i would now be lost

if not for your love

i would no longer try to move on.

i close my eyes

to shut out the world

instantly i feel a surge of warmth

as i feel your hand touching mine.

your sweet breath on my nape

your soft skin rubbing my face

your presence so overpowering

you are my pillar of strength.

not speaking

not even looking

just here beside me

giving, taking, loving.

you’ve won

my heart is yours and yours alone

even when we part

you are with me, around me, in me.

the world may perish

but you and i will remain

our love will outlast the brightest of stars

when all have gone, still we stand.

for we are beyond space

we are beyond time

no formula to calculate and measure

for what we feel is immeasurable.

we are ageless

we are eternal

no one is quite like us

our love is immortal.

Witching Hour

I’m currently reading The Witch of Portobello by Paolo Coelho.  So far so good.  It’s prooving itself to be another excellent read.  I’ve always regarded the author with high respect and admiration.  His insights are so full of wisdom.  A few pages is enough to fill your head with good sense.

The book is a compilation of interviews among the people who know the main character.  Their inputs put together creates an avenue where the reader is thrown into a quest to know Athena.  It is interesting how each person has a different view about her.  Each has their own perception of her as a person and how they speculate she must be feeling or thinking at some point.  Naturally some views conflict with the others, and that is how the reader is kept enthralled and becomes nose deep into every page.

As expected here and there are insights which I, at some point of my own life, have come to realize.  This is the beauty of Paolo’s work.  You see, his insights are firmly grounded on real human experiences that you will find yourself nodding in agreement to whatever he has written.  Lessons so seemingly simple when read, yet so difficult to realize while on the verge of whatever experience we may find ourselves deeply involved in.

I think I understand where this book is taking me.  I’ve had a glimpse of it in my reality.  But I have an inkling that Athena’s story would be so much different from mine.  So I must read on.
